Fan Special: Dream Trio: Aime Kiwakana, Djo Mpoyi and Malage de Lugendo

From fan request, I am going to speak about these three men 

Aime Kiwakana, Djo Mpoyi and Malage de Lugendo. It is amazing that these men never sang together as a trio during their time in OK Jazz.

Too often they were singing with others in OKJ such as Ntesa, Josky, Madilu or Ndombe. They did sing together but alongside with another person. This leads me to this post. 

I know that these men would have sounded great as a trio and they should have done some songs together where it is only these men together. I know it would have sounded incredibly sweet and great as three only singers together.

I have some songs where they could have been strong as a trio in OKJ. From all periods

Mamba of Simaro
Soeto of Josky

It is a great question wondering why there was never a moment where these men sang together as a trio? I will let you decide that call.

First post in a while I have made a post. Now the fans voted and said they want me to speak about Josky Kiambukuta for this thing called:

1) Josky's voice was so diverse and it had capacities to move which you could not see coming

3) Josky was so confident with his voice. Confidence made Josky the legend that he is now. 
4) He understood how make his voice work  
5) The power of Josky made singers follow him and follow him on note 

5 Reasons why Josky is better as a backup singer
1) Josky would make his voice had chemistry with others 
2) Josky had more appreciation of song when doing backup vocals. 
3) Josky's voice sang well wither Other Rochereau Logos.
4) Josky had magic with his back up vocals with other people. 
5) Josky was so able to change his voice when needed.

If Franco was alive, what would he do?

Now I got the second post which I will focus on Franco today. 
If he were alive, what would he be doing? 

It is a tough question but based on Franco's life, I find two scenarios. 

Scenario One: Franco being a politician in DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) 

Franco could have been a politician since he did make a lot of songs where he spoke of CEOS and how bad politicians can be. He often spoke against the establishment referring to them as "Animals" and "shameful" in figurative terms. Franco could have been a congressman and he would be a effective congressman of opposition. Because he would have tried hard to make sure the citizens have chances like the politicians. 


Scenario: Franco would continue OK Jazz as a musician or CEO with his son Emongo as his manager 
Franco I believe would continue OK Jazz. Prior to Franco's death, he made it clear that he wanted OK Jazz to continue to do without him. Manzenza alluded to this in a interview. His son Emongo actually leads a new OK Jazz group right as a manager. 

If Franco was a musician, then he would play a less role as a mentor helping musicians get their shine on. Franco would probably play guitar and sing less than he did during the 1980s. He would have had some amazing vocalists to give a good surround for Franco. I think that would the be scenario if Franco was a "Musician". 

If Franco was purely doing business. He would be officially be a CEO of the OK Jazz with a new leader to oversee all the musicians or be a leader while being a musician. It is very likely that Franco would have made a company and business purely based on OK Jazz and it would be his bread and butter. This way it would be Franco officially calling the shots now in more of his terms than he did as a musician. Then his son Emongo would be a manager of the musical group of OK Jazz.

My opinionated answers
I will give 5 reason for each scenario:
Why is Nico better than Tabu Ley 
Why is Tabu Ley better than Nico 


WHY IS NICO BETTER THAN TABU LEY:
1) Because Nico meant songs with a deep message 
2) Josky Kiambukuta 
3) Nico allowed his musicians to be given a chance to shine 
4) Nico made an impression that was not understandable for any one 
5) Malage du Legendo 

WHY IS TABU LEY BETTER THAN TABU LEY:
1) Tabu Ley's songs with French were so poetic 
2) Tabu Ley was a poet doctor 
3) Tabu Ley was very playful with his words 
4) Tabu Ley got some great members out of the Veve Clan
5) Rochereau Logos

As for who is better than the two. It is hard to say. I know there is a big debate about them as far as the Soukous Genre. Tabu Ley says he invented Soukous music. I will take his word but others won't. Others say that Nico was the one who created "Soukous". 

Now for two ways: Who was the more complete star in your view? Nico or Tabu Ley, I will let you guys decide that?

Who was more responsible for the greatness of Soukous: Nico or Tabu Ley, again you guys decide that?
